with a third line and you are looking at an area of ocean where hundreds of people have

met tragic, unexplained death. The Triangle of Death. The Magic Rhombus. The Limbo

of the Lost. The Twilight Zone. The Port of Missing Ships. The Devil's Triangle. The

Hoodoo Sea. Cover Letterhead? These and more are names given to the mysterious Bermuda Triangle. The

Bermuda Triangle has a long and perilious history and can still send shivers through the

bravest sailors and aviators.

However, the United States Board of Geographic Names doesn't recognize the

name Bermuda Triangle for that area of the Atlantic Ocean. Also, because it is part of jerry mcguire essay a

larger body of water, the Triangle does not have any "official" boundaries or markers. It

does have "recognized" boundaries, like the explanation above, but there have been

unexplained disappearances outside and near the "recognized" boundaries.

Stories of strange occurences and bizarre events of the Bermuda Triangle date

back as far as 1492. Christopher Columbus was on his famous jouney when he recorded

seeing a fireball fly across the sky and land in the ocean, and he also wrote in his log that

the ship's compass was giving inacurate readings and acting strangely. He didn't tell his

crew this for fear of frightening his crew. But then, on October 11, 1492, Columbus and a

crewman saw a light over the water, but then it vanished quickly. Hours later, Columbus

and his crew sighted the islands of the West Indies. Then the disappearances began. In

1609, the Sea Venture disappeared of the coast of letter letterhead Bermuda. A rescue boat was sent after

it, but it disappeared as well. These were the earliest known disappearances in the

Police Misconduct

"The war on crime that is fought on the streets is far too often waged against innocent individuals unaware of, or intimidated into surrendering their constitutional rights ?(ClarisLaw Inc., 2003). Police officers in return often make bad judgment calls on a possible offender and resort to using more force than needed. With the two of these misunderstandings of communication and panic, it is no wonder why police misconduct is becoming more and more of an issue. It was stated that "for as long as there has been police, there have been corruption ? (Dempsey, 1999; p.293). It is often thought in an understanding response to police corruption that the officers often get mixed up in the misconduct because the police are around it every day, and it is hard not to decentralize yourself from that after being exposed to crime and corruption for so long. Eventually the brutality and dishonesty becomes apart of the police persona.
In the 1970's the Knapp Commission was created by New York City's mayor, John V. Lindsay as an cover letter sample approach to stop the alleged police corruption that was going on. As well as recently many police departments have developed Internal Affairs divisions to basically enable cops to monitor fellow officers on the job to see if any foul play is going on while on duty. Many other departments and commissions have been established to fight the war on police brutality and misconduct. And it would be safe to think that transgression among the men and women who are "To Protect and To Serve ? would not be involved in any illegal acts with all of these divisions trying to stop it but that is quick simple resume template, not true. Letter Sample! Police continue to abuse their authority for their personal gains and fulfillment. Such forms of abuse include "excessive use of deadly force, excessive use of physical force, discriminatory patterns of arrest, patterns of harassment of vulnerable groups, discriminatory use of the "stop and frisk ?, overly harsh enforc

To view or not to view

"Children should not be prevented from cover letter letterhead, watching violence on television and in the movies. Cover Letterhead Sample? ? I strongly disagree with this statement. Studies have proven that violence has very serious effects on the psychological and physical behaviour of children, especially between the ages of one and ten years old.
Violence on television leads to aggressive behaviour in children. Violent characters are portrayed as heroes and children look up to and admire them. Children then want to be like their role models and start to act in violent ways because they see nothing wrong with it. They fight with playmates and siblings, argue and disobey rules. This then becomes more serious and some eventually turn to real crimes, all because they don't know right from wrong. Television glorifies violence and teaches children that the easiest way of solving problems is through violence. Weapons are regarded as toys and children don't realise how dangerous they are and that they can kill. There have been cases where children have played with real weapons and killed others accidentally.
Children also become fearful of the world around them. When viewing television violence, children are lead to believe that all life is cover sample harsh, mean and dramatic and become scared of growing up and having to face the world on their own. This has a negative subconscious effect on a child's developing self-esteem and character. Children become scared of the ugly, strong villains they see on television and then believe that all villains are strong and ugly. In actual fact, a villain can be anyone, but children think that all big, ugly looking people are bad and dangerous. The villains are often of one race with also leads to discrimination in society.
Children will eventually become less sensitive to the pain and suffering of others. They become numb to violent scenes and are less bothered by them in general. Children grow up not caring as much for h

Literary Analysis of Incident - Countee Cullen

The poem that I chose to analyze is titled Incident written by Countee Cullen. I chose this poem because in so little words it says so much. It conveys so much feeling and emotion. Incident was written in the 1920's at a time when people of color were greatly discriminated against. Many public places like schools and restaurants were segregated. Through the experience of an eight-year-old boy Cullen illustrates some of the things black people encountered during that time period.
The character in this poem begins his trip to Baltimore full of joy and excitement. He sees a boy from Baltimore about his age staring at him. Thinking he could possibly make a friend he smiled, but was totally unprepared for the boy's reaction. Instead of a friendly gesture in return the boy stuck out his tongue and letter, called him a "nigger. ? As you could imagine the boy's feelings were hurt. Out of all the things he experienced during his seven month stay in Baltimore that dreadful incident was the most memorable for him.
After reading that poem I felt sympathy for the young boy and mad at the "Baltimorean ? for being so cruel. This poem appealed to my emotions and moved me. It was a shame that someone at his tender age of eight had to encounter such discrimination. The boy's innocence and naive ness is what makes readers feel sorry for him. I think that is why Cullen chose to make the character in his poem so young. If the boy had been a grown man instead I don't think his readers would have had the same reaction because in that time period that incident was nothing out of the ordinary. It was common to hear of a black man experiencing that kind of discrimination and things far worse like lynching.
Cullen chose an mcguire essay interesting method to write about the topic of racial discrimination. His choice of words and rhythm is not what I would expect for cover such a serious topic. The rhythm of the poem is almost lik

My ethics, my codes of life.

My ethics are my morals, my rules for living and to me they are the one thing that I think will get us through the other side of life with integrity, honour and cover letter having done the things in life that we've have aimed and we're meant to do. My rules for living are to love others as I love myself, to live with honesty, and so form trusting relationships and above all else to love God.
To love others as we love ourselves is a big thing especially in today's cut-throat society. These days we are all taught to succeed, but to do this many times we have to stand on people. We rarely give a second thought when say we or do something that could have offended someone, but we would always like consideration to be taken to our feelings. If we simply think of this before we say or do something we will do less things that we regret.
No amount of fame or success could take away the fact that we all need people that love and respect us. These relationships do not fall out of the sky, but they are things that we build up through life. I believe that living with honesty and treating other people with respect is a key part in building up trust in these relationships. Not only does honesty bring trust but it gives integrity to what ever we say which in life is very important.
The most important of my three ethics is to love God above all else. The reason I think that this is the most important of the three of my ethics is that this one leads to the others. If we follow the perfect example that Jesus left for jerry mcguire essay, us then all other good actions will follow. If we love God we will always try to obey him. This will mean that the letter letterhead, other ethics that I have talked about, will all be fulfilled, and you will get to the end of your life having been who God had planned for you to be and having done what He had planned for you to jerry do.
Ethics are important, they are our guidelines for living and my three main rules are the guidelines that I bel
